DRAINAGE SERVICES
Blockages
Blocked drains, blocked toilets, blocked sinks can be cleared using a number of different tools or hydraulic equipment. These are detailed as follows: rodding equipment, electric eeling equipment, high velocity water jetting equipment.
The drainage systems are always cleared and left in running order prior to our engineers leaving site if this is at all possible.
Drain lining
Drain lining we use two different types of drain lining system, the first one being Renoline, which we use on a standard domestic and light commercial operation. For more heavy duty situations where the drains are going to be put under intense pressure or where there is a blind shot on the run then we would use a Brawoliner system. This is a lining system invented, manufactured and produced in Germany for more specific purposes. We also carry out patch lining where a specific section of drain can be located and patched.

Re-rounding
Re-rounding equipment is used in putting the circular shape back into existing drainage pipework where it may be deformed i.e. pitch fibre and this can then be lined to ensure the integrity of the drain pipe.

Drain repairs/new drainage systems
We can carry out in situ repairs on all drainage systems or provide complete new systems as and when required.

Maintenance of drainage systems
Some drains require in situ maintenance which may involve cleaning using high pressure water jetting equipment or de-scaling or root removal. This can all be completed using our own hydraulic equipment.

Sewage treatment plants/Septic tanks
We carry out installation of sewage treatment plants/septic tanks and repairs where possible. We can also provide an ongoing maintenance programme if necessary. We also provide a tankering service for septic tank emptying and for emptying sewage treatment works/oily waste gully.


PLUMBING SERVICES
Emergency works, we carry out all emergency plumbing services as and when required from a burst pipe or leaking pipe, broken or blocked toilet through to a leaking hot water cylinder and we have full availability of all parts and equipment as and when necessary.
We carry out plumbing services on domestic and commercial and light industrial properties.

Waste Disposal Units
We repair or renew Waste Disposal Units as required.

Saniflos
We have our own workshop where we can remove the existing saniflo from the property, the saniflos are then cleaned and serviced/repaired and returned to your property in full working order.

Water Mains
We carry out excavation replacement of existing water mains and then replace them from stop cocks on the pavement through to the internal stop cocks in the property.


COMMERCIAL AND RESIDENTIAL GUTTER CLEARANCE SERVICES
Blockbusters now provide a new revolutionary gutter cleaning service for both commercial and domestic properties. The GutterVac cleaning system conforms to all the new health and safety regulations and requirements for safe and easy gutter cleaning for gutters of up to 16 metres high. The guttering is cleaned by vacuuming out leaves, sticks, mud, pine needles and other debris that may be clogging gutters and spouts. Attention is given to clearing the drain outlet which means that any water in the gutter system is removed prior to pressure washing.

Scheduled maintenance service
SURVEYING
A gutter survey can be carried out using the Gutter-Cam at heights of up to 20 metres to establish the areas of guttering that require cleaning. A recording of the survey before and after the clean may be made and replayed directly from the monitor to show interested parties, or the recording can be imported into a computer and burned to DVD.

PRESSURE WASHING

Guttering is an important part of a building’s weatherproofing system but can build up quickly with debris which restricts the flow of rainwater if not cleared regularly. It is recommended that your gutters are cleaned at least once a year to keep them in good condition and free flowing. Our high pressure washing system, using the GutterPole, is a very easy pressure washing system for gutters and down pipes, which can be used at heights of up to 16 metres.

GUTTER VACUUMING

GutterVac is suitable for commercial and domestic sized guttering with special sized or angled heads to allow the suction head to run along the length of the guttering to vacuum away any debris. Heavily impacted debris or possible rooted saplings, can be broken up into smaller pieces using the gutter spike. The gutter spike is operated by attaching it to the BusterPole that is used in conjunction with the Gutter-Cam, pressure washing and window cleaning systems.


Waste disposal and environmental care

With regards to disposing of contaminants, the company is concerned with environmental impact. The company hires the services of a reputable National Company of Waste Disposal, so that sewage, chemical and petro-chemical wastes are collected and disposed of at properly licensed sites. Blockbusters Contracts Ltd are registered as a carrier of wastes under the Controlled Wastes (Registration of Carriers) Regulations 1991.

Health and safety

Health and safety is a priority within the company. Safety equipment and protective clothing/equipment is provided for all staff as required, and is replaced as soon as needed. Staff are given written guidence as to the particular hygiene requirements of a job. We provide key personnel with full training in first aid, and first aid kits are provided for each vehicle and maintained by the central office.
